On Friday of November 4, participants of Aksi Bela Islam II (2nd Action to Defend Islam) showed posters asking for law enforcement against Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) as religious blasphemer.

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- During inaugural session, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama's (Ahok) legal advisor Trimoelja Suryadi objected to the hearing of the case. He said the case was quick processed and be forced. “The trial occurred because of masses pressure. When the full version video was uploaded, no one was angry or being offended,” said him on Tuesday (12/13).

Meanwhile Chief Advisory Team of Muslim Advocate (TPM), Mahendradatta, critiziced Ahok's legal advisor statement saying that the inaugural session held on Tuesday was a trial by the mob. Mahendradatta said that statement was a twist to the reality. "Did not (he) know the legal basis of saying trial by the mob? LIke it or not, want it or not, the trial held by the nation. Was the country overpowered by the mob? No, it was not," he reiterated when contacted by Republika.co.id on Tuesday.

Mahendradatta asked Ahok's legal advisor not to twist nor flipping the state. Furthermore, the case related to Ahok's statement about surah Al Maidah verse 51 have already been filed in accordance to the police, but it was not properly processed. Therefore, the public reacted and comparing it with similar case of blasphemy done by Lia Aminuddin, Ahmad Mushaddeq, Permadi and Arswendo Atmowiloto.

Mahendradatta said in Ahok's case, the one who triggered mass movement was Ahok himself. "This is something that is usually done by enemies of Islam. They tried to nail and when reaction occurred, they questioned the reaction. Otherwise, the first action always be hidden," he explained.

As senior advocate, Mahendradatta seen the attitude of Ahok's legal counsellor was seemed like they pity the discovery of conspiracy. "It looked like they were disappointed with the discovery of conspiracy that tried to protect Ahok. They could not accept the mass reaction," he said.
