REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Police Chief of West Java Anton Charliyan revealed Habib M Rizieq Syihab could be a suspect of alleged insult of state symbol, Pancasila. Their team would reviewed these three cases on Monday (January 30).
Later on, they would determine status of Habib Rizieq. Anton said if there was big possibility that founder of Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) become a suspect after several investigations. "Habib Rizieq status can be improved as suspect after we held these three cases. There is big possibility that he will become that," said Anton in Jakarta, Friday (27/1).
According to him, detention would not be necessary even if Habib Rizieq status changed. Although he became a suspect, that step could be done or not. "The detention is very subjective, so it means that once you became a suspect, you can be detained or not," Anton added.
