REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The Chairman of the National Movement to Safeguard the Indonesian Council of Ulama's Fatwa (GNPF MUI) said he was asked whether the 212 Rally was ridden by any action of treason. He insisted to deny the allegation from the police. 

"Related to the treason case, we clarified that, thank God, the 212 rally was a super peaceful action. The rally did not want to be unrest. Did not want to overthrow the government. The action did not facilitate anything related to treason," said the head of AQL Peduli. 

According to Bachtiar, the action was truly about the religious blasphemy commited by Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok). He said there were about 27 questions were asked by the investigators, and so for Rizieq and Munarman. He claimed for being asked about the other suspects beside Rachmawati.  "Yes we were also asked about Sri Bintang Pamungkas and some names we did not recognize. I forgot their name," said Bachtiar.
