REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – The sixth Indonesian president who is also the chairman of Democratic Party, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, was seeking for justice. He complained to the President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and the National Police Chief Tito Karnavian about the demonstration held by hundreds of people in front of his house in Kuningan, South Jakarta on Monday. “My brothers and sisters who love law and justice, my house was attained by hundreds of people. They yelled. *SBY*,” said him through his verified Twitter account on Monday. The asterisks symbolize his original tweet, not a post uploaded by his account administrator.

He wrote in his tweet that the Constitution did not allow any protest or demonstration to be conducted at someone’s house. Except, he said, the Constitution has changed. He also said that there was no notification from the police related to the demonstration.

Previously, SBY also claimed to hear a provocation and agitation by students in the Pramuka camp Area, Cibubur, East Jakarta. The students shouted a provocation asking the people to catch SBY.

SBY ended the series of twits by asking justice from the president and the national police chief. “I only asked for justice. The salvation of my soul, I surrender completely to God the Almighty. *SBY*,” he said.

The Cental Board of Democratic Party also deplored the demonstration. The spokesman, Rachland Nashidik, said the students should hold the demonstration in the office of Democratic Party. The board of the party, he said, would be open-minded to any dialogue. He also admitted that demonstration was a constitutional rights of all parties.

"We deplored the demonstration on the residence of the sixth president which was protected by the Constitution as applied to all the former president,” he said on a press release in Jakarta on Monday.

Wahai anak cucu Adam!

(QS. Al-A'raf ayat 27)
