REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – The Indonesian Military (TNI) accepted the apology from the Australian Military due to the offensive material found in its headquarters. The chief of two state military organizations has met in Jakarta on Wednesday to talk about it.
In a statement released by the Indonesian Military, the Military Chief General Gatot Nurmantyo said, the Australian Military Chief Angus Campbell promised to resolve the case. Evenmore, he said it would impact on the personal carrier of the perpetrator of insult.

"The general recognized that in the era of global competition, the unity and fellowship was necessary among the state neighbors and rule out diversity,” he said as quoted by ABC News.
However, Gatot kept on reminding him that Pancasila is the Indonesian and the people’s ideology. “The people in Indonesia were willing to die for the sake of the ideology, especially the military personnel. This was a very sensitive and painful matter,” he said.
Gatot said, Campbell apologized and expressed his regret for the incident. He promised that the personnel would be responsible for it and would get a firm punishment.

Although the apology had been accepted, the military cooperation between two countries which were suspended had not been recovered. Gatot said the Indonesian military needed to consult to President Joko Widodo.
