REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The National Agency for Placement and Protection of Indonesian Workers (BNP2TKI) did not find Siti Aisyah's name on the list of Indonesian workers in Malaysia. Siti was being a suspect of an alleged murder case in Malaysia. "Based on the checking of BNP2TKI database, the name of Siti Aisyah was not found in the list of Indonesian workers in Malaysia," said the Chairman of BNP2TKI Nusron Wahid in a press release in Jakarta on Friday .

Nusron said he had not get complete information about who was Siti Aisyah, what did she do in Malaysia, and how she could been suspected in alleged murder. The Indonesian ambassador to Malaysia said had not get consulate access to meet Siti. Consulate access was commonly given after a week of the examination process by Malaysian authorities. "We still waited for the allegation charged to Siti Aisyah because this was still in the examination process," said Nusron. 

He made sure the Indonesian government would give legal support to Siti Aisyah regardless of his status in Malaysia, whether she was an Indonesian worker or an Indonesian citizen who visited Malaysia. The Indonesian ambassador to Malaysia had two legal team to give legal support to the Indonesian citizen in the country. 

One of the legal team had specific duty to give legal defense for the Indonesian citizen who was charged on a criminal offense, such as murder, ilegal weapon ownership, kidnapping and drugs trafficking.  

Previously, the Director of Indonesian Citizen Protection in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Muhammad Iqbal confirmed that one of the suspect in the murder case in Malaysia was an Indonesian woman. 

The ambassador coordinated with the local Malaysian authority due to the murder case of the step-brother of the North Korean President Kim Jong-Un named Kim Jong-Nam. The Malaysian Police arrested Siti Aisyah and found3d her Indonesian passport.  

The Head of Royal Malaysian Police, Sr. Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar, as quoted by the Star on Thursday,  said the woman with Indonesian passport was arrested on Thursday  at about 02.00 am. "Based on the information of the passport, she came from Serang, Indonesian. She was identified based on the airport CCTV record. She was alone when was arrested," said him.  

Kim Jong-nam (45) was killed by two women who splashed his face by a chemical liquid in the departure terminal of Kuala Lumpur 2 International Airport on Monday (Feb 13) at about 09.00 am. He was going to go to Macau. After the execution, both women entered a taxi and ran away. On the women was arrested at the airport on Wednesday (Feb 15) when she was trying to leave the country.
