REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Indonesia's sixth president Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) met with Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) at the Presidential Palace on Thursday (March 9). In this meeting, SBY had conveyed two messages to Jokowi in leading the country.
According to Jokowi, SBY asked him to maintain political tradition of the previous administration to the current administration. In addition, SBY asked for the next government to preserve the culture to continue the development managed by the previous government.
"Mr SBY said the political tradition of the previous president to the next should be tradition. The second related to cultural development previously forwarded by the next president," Jokowi said when meeting with SBY at the State Palace, Jakarta, Thursday (March 9).
By maintaining tradition and culture from the previous administration to the next government, then the government can easily achieve the determined targets for the betterment of the people.
"I think the good tradition for next (government), second we should have to estafette the cultures so we will not start from the beginning. We should continue the tradition," Jokowi said.
However, Jokowi did not explain in detail. He only said they talked many topics in this meeting related to the national political, economic, and a number of other things.
