Police says Thamrin bombing fund provided by suspected terrorist SM

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- National police spokesman Commissioner Martinus Sitompul has revealed the source of fund and arms of Thamrin bombing on January 14, 2016. He said it was provided from suspected terrorist with initials SM or Abu Ridho. 

"Two weapons at Thamrin bombing purchased by SM and NK from southern Philippines. There were some other weapons, but we still investigate it," Martinus said at National Police headquarters, in South Jakarta, Friday (March 24).

Martinus said SM also contribute to build a terror network group in Indonesia who has direct connections with terrorist group in the southern Phillipines. 

Besides SM, the special Detachment 88 also arrested suspected terrorist with initials BW (37) in Ciputat, South Tangerang. "The involvement of BW as part of the perpetrator SM previously was arrested in Bekasi," Martinus said.

SM and BW had attended military exercises in the southern Phillippines.
