REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, RIYADH – Directorate General of Passport (Jawazat) of Saudi Arabia announced expatriates who became illegal pilgrims and migrant workers who fled (huroob) got a 90 days amnesty.
It was stated by Saudi Gazette on Wednesday (March 29), Jawazat said both cases included into a violation of labor residence permit. The labor who violated the permit and worked to a red category company (nitagat) should call the labor office to get temporary labor permit.
"Anyone who violates the permit should come to the nearest Jawazat office by bringing their passport to get a residence permit (iqama) and temporary labor permits to get visa,” said the Director General of Jawazat.
Based on Jawazat regulation, anyone who lived longer than the normal period of pilgrims, tourists, and transit visa holder would be easier to get the amnesty program. Expired iqama holders, working visa holders who failed to get iqama within 90 days, illegal immigrants, illegal pilgrims, and huroob workers would get benefits of this program.
Registered workers in Jawazat computerization system, including huroob hars workers, could come the the Expatriate Department under Jawazat to complete their procedures. The validity of exit visa within the amnesty period would end in accordance to end of the amnesty.
