Bappenas to study investment offer from Finland

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Head of the National Development Planning Board (Bappenas) Bambang Brodjonegoro said the board would study offer from Finland to invest in infrastructure sector.

Bambang Brodjonegoro made the statement after a meeting with a Finnish delegation headed by Economics Minister Mika Lintila on Monday here .

At that meeting a number of Finish business leaders indicated interest in possible investment in generating energy from waste and in air safety projects. 

A Bappenas deputy for Facilities and Infrastructure Wismana Adi Suryabrata said the government would welcome the investment offer but the offer needs to be studied in financing .

Wismana said the government also explained the country's other development priorities in the tourism sector including development of tourist destinations - Mandalika, Borobudur and Lake Toba. 

Bappenas is awaiting answer from the Finnish government on offer to invest in the tourism sector.
