REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BANDUNG -- Five alleged terrorists, who were arrested in Antapani and Kiaracondong regions of Bandung, are linked to Jamaah Ansharut Daulah (JAD) Bandung Raya network, West Java police spokesman Senior Commissioner Yusri Yunus said.

"The five suspects are part of JAD group under Bahrul Naim, ISIS," Yusri stated here on Tuesday.

The suspects, identified with their initials Y, AK, AR, AH, and R, played different roles. Y and R had key roles to provide funds and made the bomb.

The alleged terrorists learned to make a bomb from Bahrun Naim, which was shared via social media Telegram. Y and R have also trained AW to make pressure-cooker bomb in Buah Batu, Bandung.

"They learned this from Telegram, a special blog from Bahrun Naim. They shared this knowledge through the social media to teach AW on how to make a bomb," he added.

Yusri noted that the five suspects have been detained by the police anti-terror unit (Densus 88) for further investigation.

Previously, Densus 88 had found some hazardous chemical substance used for making bomb in Y's house in Jajawai village, Bandung.

Y was arrested with four other terrorist suspects on Tuesday between 07.30 a.m. and 09.30 a.m. at three different locations.
