He praised that as a good decision. Moreover, the decision is in line with Jakarta provincial government policy.
However, Mardani saw Jokowi has been showing opposite attitude with letting Jakarta bay reclamation continued while he as governor did not authorize the project.
Furthermore, Mardani assessed, Jokowi also never stop Coordinating Maritime Affairs Minister Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan's move to continue the reclamation.
"It was quite a surprise, why did the president seemed to let every step taken by Luhut to continue reclamation," Mardani said on Thursday.
Mardani saw it as a strong indication of a problem related to Jakarta bay reclamation project.
"Let the public judge it," Mardani who was the team leader of Anies Baswedan and Sandiaga Uno during Jakarta gubernatorial election.
It's not a permit
Jokowi signed Gubernatorial Decree (Pergub) No. 146 of 2014 on Technical Guidelines for Building and Licensing Services and Reclamation Facility of the North Coast Strategic Area of Jakarta on September 24, 2014.
The regulation was considered as a form of permit that issued by Jokowi while he served as Jakarta governor.
"The Pergub is a guide in case if you ask for permission. It did not mean that I gave the permission to run reclamation project. Not that," Jokowi explained during inauguration of shrimp ponds revitalization at Bakti village, Muara Gembong Sub-district, Bekasi Regency, on Wednesday.
On October 5, Coordinating Maritime Affairs Minister Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan has lifted moratorium on Jakarta's bay reclamation project, which cancel the decree on the moratorium of reclamation project signed by minister Rizal Ramli in 2016.
He said all parties, including new government of DKI Jakarta must accept his decision.
