REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) continues to deepen investigation of bribery case and gratification of inactive Kutai Kartanegara regent, Rita Widyasari. At least there were 95 witnesses have been examined related to the case.
"We already examined 95 witnesses for suspect Rita Widyasari (RIW) in alleged bribery case and also gratification. Investigators still concerned of the suspect's assets," said KPK spokesperson Febri Diansyah on Friday (January 26).
Febri said KPK investigators tried to steeped in information about gratification from several contractors. Rita allegedly took a bribe of Rp 6 billion from Hery Susanto Gun or known as Abun, related to grant of operating license for the core and plasma of palm oil plantation of PT Sawit Golden Prima in Kupang Baru Village, Muara Kaman Sub-district.
Rita also alleged to receive gratuities from Commissioner of PT Media Bangun Bersama, Khairudin as much as Rp 6.97 billion, related to number of projects in Kutai Kartanegara. In addition, she also allegedly received a gratuity from the leadership of the Regional Device Work Unit (SKPD) in the regency.
KPK has re-appointed Rita and Khairudin in money laundering case on January 16. The total money laundering allegedly amounted to Rp 436 billion. Investigators still search the possibility that the amount will be increased with the further investigation.
