REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The Indonesian Police's anti-terror squad has questioned two alleged terrorists arrested in Indramayu District of West Java recently. The police are investigating their possible involvement in a certain terror group or if they were operating alone.
"We have arrested two suspects in Indramayu. They are still under investigation," a spokesman of the Indonesian Police Senior Commissioner Pol Martinus Sitompul noted here on Friday.
Sitompul pointed to four possibilities of their involvement in terrorism as executors, explosive makers, fund supporters, and recruiters of new members.
"We are still investigating their role," he added.
Earlier on Wednesday, the anti-terror squad Densus 88 had arrested an alleged terrorist named Muhamad Jefri in Indramayu's village of Cipancuh in Haurgeulis Sub-district.
Jefri, who worked as an ice seller, was a resident of Tanggamus District in Lampung but lived in Indramayu. The counterterrorism squad also arrested his wife identified as ASN.
