Indonesian housemaid in Malaysia dies of alleged abuse

The case of Indonesian housemaid's death will be investigated as a murder.

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, KUALA LUMPUR -- An Indonesian housemaid, Adelina (21) died in Malaysian hospital, Bukit Mertajam, Penang, on Sunday (Feb 11). She was reported died at 4.45 pm local time and the cause of death has not been determined.

Adelina , who came from Medan worked at a house in Taman Kota Permai. The neighbors concerned when seeing injuries on her hands and foot.

According to the information, a neighbor saw Adelina has been sleeping next to the rottweiler dog owned by her employer for the last two months. She refused to speak to whoever greeted her.

The neighbor contacted a journalist who later informed the representative office of Bukit Mertajam board member. City counsilor, Joshua Woo and his colleagues then visited Adelina and found she was sitting on the porch.
