REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Established since 1992, Suleyman Demiral University has become one of the leading state campuses in Turkey. Its facilities lure foreign students from many countries.
However, so far there were only six Indonesian students in the campus. Vice rector of Suleyman Demiral University, Professor Nihat Ayyldz hoped this year there will be more Indonesian students who continue their study in the university that located in the city of Isparta.
Moreover, Indonesia and Turkey has emotional bound. Therefore, in 2018, Suleyman will cooperate with Indonesia Turkey Education Foundation to hold entrance test for the second time in Indonesia. "We will wait Indonesian students in Isparta, the city that is safe, student's city and free from traffic jam," Professor Nihat said.
Suleyman Demiral University's entrance test is scheduled to be conducted in Jakarta and Medan on May 5, 2018. Participants who have completed the registration will be given an invitation to take the entrance exam. Library opens for 24 hours
Suleyman Demiral University provides its students with library that is open for 24 hours every day. In addition, free meals also served for students who study in the library, especially at 11:00 pm until 01.00 am. "We want the campus always feel alive everyday, even in the night," said Professor Nihat Ayyldz during a visit to Republika office in Jakarta, Tuesday (Feb 13).
As the first campus in Turkey that use 24 hours-open system, Suleyman Demiral University also opened its library for public. "Even high school students also utilize our library," Professor Nihat added.
Suleyman Demiral University's first faculties were Engineering and Architecture which was previously known as Isparta State Engineering and Architecture Academy established in 1976.
