REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The Elections Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) declared here on Sunday that the Moon and Star Party (PBB) had met all the requirements needed to become a general elections participant. Based on it Bawaslu decided to meet the suit filed by the party's general chairman Yusril Ihza Mahendra.
The decision followed an adjudication session led by Bawaslu's chairman Abhan.
In the decision read out by Bawaslu member Fritz Edward Siregar it was said that based on the results of factual verification it was found that the party had met the requirements needed with regard to its board, 30 perecent women representation, domicile of its office and members in the district of South Manokwari in West Papua.

The General Elections Commission (KPU) had earlier declared that PBB did not meet the requirements to be eligible as a general elections participant after it failed to meet verification in South Manokwari.
KPU Chairman, Arief Budiman said on Sunday (Jan 28) night, PBB actually has filled two points of verification requirements. He explained PBB has fulfill the core board of Management point and the status of domicile point of political party.
"For the women's representation, one member of PBB is not carrying identity when verified as she can not submit her identity card, then we declare PBB has not yet qualified for one point, namely the representation of female board in DPP," he said.
