REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BANJAR BARU -- Joko Widodo (Jokowi) revealed that he was still studying the names to be his running mate in the 2019 presidential race. He said internal team of Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) was still reviewing some names.
"I have once again stated that the internal team was still reviewing the names to be selected as the vice presidential candidate," he noted, after witnessing the handing over of land certificates at the Rudi Rusnawan Sport Hall, Banjar Baru, South Kalimantan, on Monday.
He said that the political parties that supported him were also doing the same. "The parties are also just doing the same. We have not had any communication with all the supporting parties," he added.

Regarding the political parties that are formulating the criteria for the vice presidential candidate to accompany him, the incumbent stated that he would just let them do it. "If there is a party that makes the criteria, they can please go ahead. That is okay, and that is a political dynamism. We and the community will eventually be able to see who the most suitable candidate would be," he elaborated.
Jokowi remarked that that he will make a note of all names offered by political parties' supporters as reference of considerations. "Oh yes, all will be considered," Jokowi stated while answering the questions of journalists.
