REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The youngest son of the first Indonesian President Soekarno, Guruh Soekarno Putra, met President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) to discuss the development of Persada Soekarno. Guruh explained Persada Soekarno is a place that will be built as a museum or library.
According to Guruh, the museum is planned to store art objects belonging to Bung Karno. He said Sukarno once had a will to make his art stuffs dedicated to Indonesian people.
"These stuffs are dedicated to Indonesian people, so that's why Soekarno wanted a museum," Guruh said when visiting the president at the presidential palace yard here on Tuesday.
In addition, he also remarked that he wanted to invite President Jokowi to review the construction of the museum.
The childhood home of Bung Karno named 'Persada Sukarno Ndalem Pojok Site' was inaugurated by Bung Karno Foundation in October 2015 in Pojok Village, Kediri District, East Java.
Meanwhile, Persada Bung Karno is also located near the Bung Karno House in Anggut Urban Village, Bengkulu Province.
