On Tuesday, the president together with Minister at the State Secretariat Pratikno, Transport Minister Budi Karya Sumadi and Chief of The Presidential Staff Moeldoko met five representatives of thousands of protesting Ojek online drivers in front of the state palace.

The protesters parked their motorbikes at Jalan Merdeka blocking the road for other vehicles, demanding the government to issue a regulation on tariff rationalization for Ojek online.

"They complained about tariff war among applicators. Therefore I have told the transport minister and the communications and information minister to invite the applicators and the drivers for a dialog tomorrow. In principle we will find a compromise," Jokowi said.
