REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BANDARLAMPUNG -- Indonesian railway company PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI)'s Tanjung Karang sub regional division will increase the number of coaches to anticipate passenger hike during Idul Fitri (Lebaran) Islamic holiday this year.
The number of train passengers this year is expected to surge by 20-30 percent.
"For sure, we must deliver our best services for the public. Hopefully, additional coaches will be able to accommodate passengers joining homecoming exodus (mudik)," Franoto Wibowo, spokesman of PT KAI Tanjung Karang sub regional division, said here, Sunday.
During the April 5-26 period, some 45 percent of train tickets for Idul Fitri have been sold in Tanjung Karang.
