According to him, the cyber threat is the same as terrorism. The cyber threat does not recognize national borders and it does not comply with any country's regulations. "Cyber is trans-boundary so there is no single state which can cope with cyber threats also, it is impossible as it is like terrorism," said Wiranto.
He asserted, when the officials within the Coordinating Ministry of Political went to a country to discuss the national security of each country, regional and global security always are discussed because the handling of the problem requires cooperation.
"I have just returned from Russia to join the President to this ASEAN meeting in Singapore," he said.
He said the meeting attended in Russia also discussed global security, terrorism and cyber threats.
According to him, the talk about global security must not be separated from two things, namely how to fight "cyber attack" and fight terrorism.
"In Indonesia, we are also facing the development of cyber space which can indeed lead to threats if we do not handle it properly," said Wiranto.
