REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Laborers of 35 alliances grouped in the "Labor Movement for the People" have urged the government to lift Regulation PP No.78 of 2015 on Labor Wages during a rally to observe May Day here, Tuesday. The alliance of the workers' movement opined that the revocation of PP No.78 of 2015 was the first step in the efforts to create a just national wage system.

"Apart from the decent wages and withdrawal of PP No.78 of 2015, we also demand that the government should consistently combat corruption, increase subsidies for the people, especially in the education, health, energy, housing, and transportation sectors, and commit to realizing agrarian reform," they noted in a joint statement received by Antara in Jakarta on Tuesday.
