REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) held limited meeting related to preparation of 2018 Asian Games at Presidential Office, State Palace on Friday (May 4). In the meeting, Jokowi once again emphasized the importance of promotion, publication, and marketing of 2018 Asian Games.

The promotion should be able to target various circles in society, both inside and outside country. "Our target promotion is Asian countries to make 2018 Asian Games in Indonesia is getting warmly discussed and it will be great event ever," said Jokowi.

Jokowi seemed very ambitious in promoting 2018 Asian Games. Yesterday, he wore a jacket bearing Asian Games logo.

President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) wears jacket bearing the Asian Games 2018 logo when receiving representatives of high school student organization (OSIS), at the Bogor Presidential Palace, West Java Province, Thursday.

He said the reason to wear the jacket is because it becomes his duty and all elements of society in promoting 2018 Asian Games. Jokowi asserted the event will be a great event for all people in Indonesia.

Therefore, I invite all people to more promote 2018 Asian Games, Jokowi added.

Asian Games to be held simultaneously in Jakarta and Palembang (South Sumatra Province), on Aug 18 - Sept 2, 2108.
