REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, PROBOLINGGO -- The police anti-terror squad, Densus 88, arrested a suspected terrorist identified by his initial WDP, 35, from Brantas Street, Pilang village, in East Java's city of Probolinggo early on Thursday. As many as 40 personnel of the Probolinggo police were deployed to help arrest the man from his house in Pilang village, Kademangan subdistrict.
The arrest was based on the police' investigation, following the arrest of four suspected terrorists from four different locations in the city.
WDP was allegedly involved in bomb attacks on some churches in Surabaya. "The suspect did not resist the arrest by the Densus 88 team," the Probolinggo police chief, Adjunct Senior Commissioner Alfian Nurrizal, said here on Thursday.
The police also seized some arrows, compact discs, a laptop, and cellular phones. "WDP is an expert in assembling electronic goods. His shop was used to sell and repair cellular phones," he added.
The police transferred WDP to the East Java police headquarters for further questioning on his alleged involvement in the bomb attacks in Surabaya and Sidoarjo recently.
Earlier, Densus 88 arrested three alleged terrorists identified as MF, IS and HA in Sumbertaman Indah Residence in Wonoasih, Probolinggo. Another suspect, AP, was arrested in Sumbertaman village.
The four were allegedly involved in the bomb attacks in Surabaya and Sidoarjo that linked to Dita Oeprianto, one of the suicide bombers killed in the incident.
