Trump declared that the meeting would result in a real deal as both sides have sought to narrow the differences on how to end nuclear tensions in the Korean Peninsula.
This encounter was almost unimaginable to anyone since, for the past few months, Trump and Kim had threatened each other, which raised fears of an outbreak of war.
"The staff-level meeting between the United States and North Korea was very good," Trump tweeted today, as quoted by Reuters.
