REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Gerindra Party, Prosperous Justice Party (PKS), and National Mandate Party (PAN) are scheduled to meet on Tuesday (July 31) night. The meeting will discuss preparation related to 2019 presidential election.
“Tonight we will meet PKS and PAN,” said Gerindra Party secretary-general Ahmad Muzani on Tuesday (July 31).
Muzani said the meeting will specifically discuss the recommendation from Ijtima' Ulema or ulema's meeting. The ulemas have given the mandate to carry Gerindra Party chief patron Prabowo Subianto as 2019 presidential candidate and Ustaz Abdul Somad also PKS Syura (Advisory) Council chairman Salim Segaf Al-Jufri to be vice presidential candidates.
“We will discuss about Ijtima' Ulama recommendation,” Muzani added.
Meanwhile, PKS deputy secretary-general Abdul Hakim said Gerindra Party to host the meeting. PAN chairman Zulkifli Hasan also confirmed about the meeting. However, he claimed to have no preparation yet.
“I have not prepared anything yet,” Zulkifli said.
