REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The opposition camp has not declared their presidential and vice presidential candidate yet. Meanwhile, the government coalition has decided to pair the incumbent President Joko Widodo with Nahdlatul Ulama's supreme leader KH Ma'ruf Amin.
According to Gerindra Party Secretary-General Ahmad Muzani, Prabowo coalition was still waiting for Prosperous Justice Party (PKS)'s decision. Gerindra also waited for Democratic Party's decision about joining the coalition and vice presidential candidate.
Muzani said PKS would announce result of Syura (Advisory) Council meeting on Thursday (Aug 9) night. He expected Prabowo's camp could get certainty on the presidential candidate.
"By looking at Prabowo's expression, he smiled a lot, looked happy, it was a sign of certainty," Muzani said at Prabowo's residence at Kertanegara street, South Jakarta, on Thursday (Aug 9).
