REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, who is the would-be running mate of Presidential Candidate Prabowo Subianto, had a meeting with Maluku Governor Murad Ismail in Ambon on Friday. He discussed various issues with Ismail.
"We discussed a lot of things. But the point is I hope Ambon will be better under the leadership of Murad. It should prioritize the absorption of labor and focus on the stability in prices of basic needs," Uno said in his written statement received in Jakarta on Friday.
The former Deputy Governor of Jakarta said Ismail was a firm leader and was able to bring further development to Ambon.
Paired with Barnabas Orno, Ismail was a former Commander of the Police Mobile Brigade Corps and was supported by seven parties namely PAN, PPP, PKPI, PKB, Hanura, Gerindra, PDIP, and the NasDem Party.
After Friday prayers, Uno had lunch together with Ismail.
However, Uno required a lot of time to reach the vehicle. He became the bone of contention among citizens who wanted to take pictures with him. Uno took some 30 minutes to reach the car parked in the courtyard of the mosque.
