REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) summoned House of Representatives (DPR) deputy chairman from Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) faction, Utut Adianto. The summon related to investigation of procurement of goods and services in Purbalingga Regency Government, Central Java Province, 2017-2018 Budget Year bribery case.
KPK has named five suspects in the case. They are non-active Purbalingga regent Tasdi, Head of the Procurement Service Unit Purbalingga Government Hadi Iswanto, and three people from private sector, namely Hamdani Kosen, Librata Nababan, and Ardirawinata Nababan.
“Today we schedule the examination for Utut Adianto as a witness for suspect TSD (Tasdi) related to procurement of goods and services in Purbalingga Regency Government, Central Java Province, 2017-2018 Budget Year bribery case,” KPK spokesperson, Febri Diansyah on Wednesday (Sept 12).
Utut become House of Representatives deputy chairman in last March. Meanwhile, Tasid who is PDI-P politician is suspected of being the recipient in the bribery case.
Tasdi allegedly received a fee Rp 100 million from he winner of the stage II Purbalingga Islamic Center development project in 2018 which valued Rp 22 billion. The gift allegedly was part of commitment fee of 2,5 percent from the total value project, which is Rp 500 million.
Purbalingga Islamic Center development project is a multi-year project that is carried out for three years from 2017-2019, worth a total of Rp 77 billion. The first year of 2017 Fiscal Year is worth around Rp 12 billion, 2018 Fiscal Year worth around Rp 22 billion, and 2019 Fiscal Year worth around Rp 43 billion.
