REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA — Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) Advisory Council chairman Din Syamsuddin suggested that this film could be screened at several Indonesian shopping centers. He recommended the people to recall Indonesia's history through the movie.

“I think this movie is also good for millennial generations, don't neglect history. We should watch G30S/PKI at a malls or public places just as World Cup," Din added.

Din also invited Islamic mass organizations to watch together G30S/PKI movie. According to him, Indonesia has to preserve its history.

“This movie is very relevant to Islamic mass organizations, and also other families, especially Indonesian Miliatary (TNI),” said Din on Wednesday (Sept 26).

Din also asked the public to be aware of the spread of the communism ideology that is contrary to the nation's religion and philosophy, namely Pancasila. Related to this, Din said he regretted the omission by state officials at both the legislative and executive levels of the alarming understanding.

"Besides that, things that threaten the nation are liberalism, understanding freedom that is very contrary to religion, extreme radicalism both on the basis of religious understanding and political interests," he said.
