REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, PALU -- An earthquake measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale again shook the city of Palu, Central Sulawesi. It caused  residents to pour out of houses and refugee tents.

Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) reported tat the location of the earthquake that jolted the city of Palu at 4.15 am local time on Tuesday was about 5 km northeast of Palu at a depth of 10 km.

The BMKG said there was no potential for a tsunami. Therefore, the community was encouraged to stay calm and not to panic.

In the meantime, Minang, residents in the South Tatura region said the earthquake happened when most residents were still sleeping soundly, immediately waking up and running out of their houses. In fact, he said he had just returned to his home after evacuating since the first day of the earthquake and tsunami that occurred on September 28, 2018.

During the aftermath of the earthquake and tsunami that struck Palu and Donggala, Sigi and Parigi Moutong, Palu City continues to be hit by an earthquake almost every day.
