REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA — Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) general chairwoman Megawati Soekarnoputri said she feel sorry for presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto. According to her, she was concerned with Prabowo’s condition, who currently surrounded by people who often offended the government.

Megawati argued people around Prabowo always seem to counduct bad things. She said those people often criticized the government, in a way that she thinks is not a positive criticism.

“If I say I feel sorry for him (Prabowo). Why? Because people around him are like that,” Megawari said on Thursday (Nov 15).

Megawati regretted many bad narratives that spreaded. She assessed the narratives seemed make this country and nation divided and pitted in all ways.

"It's sad, why the republic is made like this. That's my point, a country that has been painstakingly built, seems to lead into disunity," she remarked.

Megawati admitted that she has a good relationship with Prabowo. Both of them have harmonious relationship. She stressed never made a bad comment against Prabowo and vice versa.
