REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA — National Campaign Team (TKN) or success team of incumbent President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) - KH Ma’ruf Amin pair spokesman Abdul Kadir Karding said he cannot confirm yet whether Jokowi will attend 212 reunion rally or not on next Sunday (Dec 2). He stressed that it is related to state affairs.

“I don’t know whether (Jokowi) will be present or not, there is no information yet about that,” Karding said on Thursday (Nov 29).

According to him, Jokowi’s presence on the event will not be part of the campaign. He asserted Jokowi’s presence on 212 reunion rally is related to state affairs.

“It’s up to Mr Jokowi and his team at State Secretariat because this isn’t a campaign, but state matter, not TKN matter,” Karding added.

Brotherhood of Alumni 212 initiated the second grand reunion on Dec 2 at National Monument (Monas) area, Central Jakarta. According to Alumni 212 chairman Slamet Ma’arif, Jokowi and Vice President Jusuf Kalla (JK) are invited to the reunion.

Meanwhile, House of Representatives (DPR) deputy speaker Fahri Hamzah confirmed his attendance at 212 reunion rally this year. He also invited Jokowi and Ma’ruf to attend the event, which he assessed important to show no political agenda in the event.

“There’s no political agenda. so Mr Jokowi should come, also Mr Prabowo, Mr Ma’ruf, and Mr Sandiaga ahead of peaceful election,” Fahri said.
