REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, SURABAYA -- East Java Police revealed, of the 45 artists involved in online prostitution, some of them were still 19 years old. This was known after the police conducted a digital forensic examination on the cellphone of suspected pimps,  ES and TN.

"There are several names that are still 19 years old," said spokeperson of East Java Police, Police Commissioner Frans Barung Mangera at the East Java Police Headquarters, Jalan Ahmad Yani, in Surabaya on Friday (Jan 11).

Frans revealed, by conducting digital forensic the police have been able to identifiy two more public figures involved online prostitution. Previously, East Java Police Chief Inspector General Luki Hermawan has said there were strong indications that five celebrities involved in the illegitimate practice.

Frans ensured that the list of 45 artists and hundreds models involved in prostitution was supported by authentic online digital track record, starting from the places or locations of the hotels, documentation of text conversations from the start until the deal reached.

"Some of women allegedly involved as prostitute are aspiring artists," Frans said.

Earlier, East Java Police mentioned there were 45 artists and hundreds models suspected of being involved in online prostitution networks controlled by TN and ES as pimps. The online prostitution case involving female celebrities in Surabaya was revealed by Cyber Criminal Division of East Java Regional Police on Saturday (Jan 5).

During the raid, police arrested five people consisting of FTV actrees with initials VA and adult magazine photo model with the initials US, one assistant, and two pimps. The celebrities have been released and the police named them as victim witnesses.
