REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, SENTUL -- Incumbent PresidentJoko Widodo promised to answer various issues regarding the resolution of cases of human rights violations in presidential election debate. One of the issue was about the hopes of Kamisan Action initiators who have taken action for 12 years in front of the Presidential Palace.
"Yes, the debate tomorrow will discuss about human rights issues," said Joko Widodo at the Sentul International Convention Center (SICC) in Sentul, on Wednesday (Jan 16).
The presidential candidate number 01 said he was prepared to come and answer all questions with the data. Considering the theme of the first round of presidential candidate debates were related to law issues, human rights violations, corruption, and terrorism, he claimed to be ready with a variety of questions.
So far, the Jokowi Government has been considered not too supportive in completion of human rights cases as expected by the initiators of the Kamisan action who wanted cases of human rights violations to be investigated and resolved. Coinciding with the holding of the first round presidential debate on January 17, 2019, it was their 570th actions.
The Kamisan Action members formed on January 18, 2007 consisted of victims and victim families of the Semanggi I, Semanggi II, Trisakti tragedies, Tragedies of May 13-15, 1998, Talangsari, Tanjung Priok, and the 1965 Tragedy.
"We will answer tomorrow too," Jokowi said.
