The hacker managed to enter his personal account then change the password and telephone number to verify his e-mail account, Permadi said.  In addition, the hacker also changed the profile picture of his account with the Saracen logo.

Permadi also said a number of his photos were spread and became viral on social media following the hack, but Permadi then managed to recover his account. He explained that his Facebook page was safe as he has changed the e-mail account.

"My guess is when the Facebook security team tracks the Saracen e-mail, they found Saracen e-mails carry out my personal account. Maybe Facebook thought that all the pages and other accounts produced from my personal account, whose e-mail had been managed by Saracen, were all considered Saracen products," Permadi told Republika.co.id, on Tuesday (Feb 12).

Previously, Head of Cyber Security Facebook, Nathaniel Gleicher, announced that Facebook has deleted 207 pages, 800 accounts, 546 groups on the social media site. Facebook stated that the accounts, groups and pages were involved in coordinated inauthentic behavior on Facebook in Indonesia.

It meant that group accounts and pages were misleading others about figures or activities on social media. "All pages, accounts, and groups are linked to the Saracen group, online syndicate in Indonesia," said Gleicher.

Facebook revealed a number of deleted accounts, groups, and pages which had been deleted such as Permadi Arya (page), Kata Warga (page), Daeknet ID (page), Berita Hari Ini (group), and AC Milan Indo (group). Gleicher said, Facebook records pages, groups and accounts based on behavior on social media, not contents or uploads.
