REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Head of the National Police's Information Bureau, Brigadier General Dedi Prasetyo, stated that the police have increased security stationed around the Constitutional Court.
"We have strengthened the security around the Constitutional Court. The location around the Constitutional Court had become one of the main priorities for security," Brigadier General Dedi Prasetyo said in Jakarta on Monday.
In addition to the Constitutional Court, the police increased security around the areas of the General Elections Commission (KPU), the Elections Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu), Presidential Palace, and the House of Representatives. Also, 58 thousand joint personnel of the Indonesian Armed Forces (TNI) and Indonesian National Police have been positioned throughout Jakarta to ensure that the security situation remains under control.
Brigadier General Dedi Prasetyo also noted that the police have reduced the city's security status from high alert status. He added that the policy regarding the security situation in the Jakarta area has been submitted to the Jakarta Police.
"The police will work with the military to evaluate the security situation in the Jakarta area," Brigadier General Dedi Prasetyo said.
