The political situation of the region of Papua (The Province of West Papua and The Province of Papua), since the creation of National Committee for West Papua (KNPB), especially in the Province of Papua it has been continuously crucial. KNPB that was said to be created to struggle for the interest of Papuan namely the Papuan independent and their political right were apparently rejected by various group of Papuan, because it is apparently KNPB is supporting the United Liberation Movement for West Papua (ULMWP) to separate the region of Papua from the Republic of Indonesia.

Recently the activities of KNPB have been concentrated in the Province of Papua especially around Sentani and Jayapura.  The political objective of KNPB to this political activities is to meet with the Speaker of the Regional House of Representative of Papua to convey their political demand namely demanding the  conduct of the Referendum of Papua in order the people to decide the political status of Papua justified by the Law on the decolonization, supervised and controlled by The United Nations.

The Assessment

One of a traditional leader in Lapago, Papua said  the activities of various groups of people who opposed  the Papuan Mass Organization that struggle for the Papuan independence,  should act normally to avoid disturbing the peaceful situation in the society.

This statement was likely directed  towards BARA NKRI who opposed the activities of KNPB which is considered as struggling for the Papuan people. The attitude  of  a local leader was definitely against to the attitude of The Papuan Cultural and Traditional Council of Sentani which is against the KNPB and demanding KNPB to  be out from Papua.

The statement made by the Secretary of the Papuan Cultural and Traditional Council of Lapago, is indicating his sympathy to KNPB which is considered by him as Papuan Organization which  struggle  for the Papuan aspiration. Papuan People are now struggling for a Just of Peace, Prosperity and Independence in the Country of Papua.

Whoever comes to Papua  it should respect the struggle and the expectation of the Papuan people. The Papuan are expecting that all those new arrivals to Papua do not disturb the existing peaceful situation of Papua, because the Papuan  people are the Owners of the Country of Papua. The statement is clearly directed to BARA NKRI who held the mass demonstration against KNPB  that is considered by a local leader as exaggerated and against the Papuan Political Right.

BARA NKRI was a group of mass demonstration physically created  to counter aganist the activities of KNPB. BARA NKRI was created by the mix society consisting of a number of the new arrivals group of people and some indegenious people to counter the activities of KNPB and to be loyal to NKRI and opposing the issue of independence louding by the KNPB.

It is likely the KNPB group will try continuously to launch the demonstration as big as possible and to reach the building of the Regional House of Representative of Papua and convey its demand to the Speakers of the Regional House of Representative of Papua demanding the Regional House of Representative of Papua to support KNPB and ULMWP.

It is important to be watched  the KNPB that  will make their effort to organize the big demonstration that could be successfully come to the Regional House of Representatives  of Papua  mainly influenced by its jealousy to BARA NKRI which  easily reach the Regional House of Representatives of Papua and met the Speakers.

Certainly the Security apparatus will at all cost to stop the demonstration held by KNPB wishing to reach the Building of The Regional House of Representatives of Papua. If this kind of situation happened it was certainly a very good news for the KNPB, demonstrating the existence of KNPB domestic and internationally.

The strong alertness of the security apparatus is very important because to reach The Regional House of Representative of Papua is very important political target  they always  try their best to launch the demonstration and reach it.  It is important to be calculated that KNPB will create seriously the demonstration to come to the Regional House of Representative Building though the Regional House of Representative of Papua  would  be certainly guarded by the Police strongly. It can be understood the successful of KNPB to meet  the Speakers  of the Regional House of Representative  of Papua will be certainly a great political success of KNPB.

Conclusion

Approaching end of June 2016 the Political Situation of The Province of Papua, especially in the area of Jayapura, it could be expected the political situation caused by the possible activities of KNPB would be tense enough. Short Political Anticipation, could be likely drawn as follow:

The activities of KNPB tends to be concentrated in the area of Jayapura. KNPB is designing the concept creating  the big demonstration with the objective to meet the Speakers of the Regional House of Representative of Papua to convey the demand of KNPB that the Regional House of Representatives of Papua should support the existence of KNPB and ULMWP because these two organization are working for the Papuan People interest.

KNPB is demanding the Regional House of Representative of Papua agree with the objective of ULMWP requesting the Melanesian countries in order the ULMWP to be the full member of MSG. KNPB is demanding the Regional House of Representative of Papua to agree with the concept of The International Referendum for the Independence of Papua, organized and supervised by the UN.

However likely it is  impossible for KNPB to materialize its demand because The Regional House of Representative  will be certainly to be guarded  by a Strong Security Units  pushing backward the mass demonstration. The Government Security will certainly stop the mass demonstration entering the gate of the Regional House of Representative Building.

Based on this prediction it is already the time for the  Government (the Ministry of Home Affairs) to take  the firm decision, that based on the Law and Regulation  on mass organization, KNPB is illegal organization that is forbidden to live in Inonesia. At the mean time there should be also  a firm diplomatic approach to the United Kingdom in order not to allow Beny Wenda to execute his political activities using London as his prestigious stay of living. Otherwise the Government of Indonesia will demanding the British to close his important Consulate in various cities of Indonesia.
