REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, PARIAMAN -- The government of West Sumatra province's municipal city of Pariaman has provided a number of hotels for participants of the Triathlon International competition which will take place on November 29-30, 2014, a mayor said.
Pariaman mayor Mukhlis Rahman made the remarks on Sunday, adding that the Triathlon will be held in Gondariah Beach.
The Pariaman municipal government will secure the safety of the athletes who will be staying in hotels or home-stays while joining in the triathlon event.
Triathlon, in its most popular form, involves swimming, cycling, and running in immediate succession over various distances.
"The city's government has been cooperating with the local police and people in effort to help secure the safety of the Triathlon athletes," Mukhlis Rahman stated.
