REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, LONDON -- Indonesia will again participate in Reiselivsmessen, the largest travel and tourism expo in Norway to be held on January 9-11, 2015, stated Indonesian Ambassador to Norway Yuwono A. Putranto.
Speaking to Antara here on Monday (5/1), Putranto remarked that the travel exhibition will be held for the fourth time at Telenor Arena in Oslo where the visitors will be able to find their next dream vacation.
"Visit us for more information about travel and tourism in Indonesia and learn about the diversity that Indonesia has to offer. We will bring back 'Green Indonesia' as our theme and will showcase the various tourism destinations in our country," the Indonesian envoy noted.
Putranto remarked that Indonesia will promote ecotourism and will showcase its indigenous cultures from Kalimantan and Nusa Tenggara through the display of traditional dance forms and local weaving.
According to him, more than 100 countries will participate in Reiselivsmessen, and therefore, Indonesia will highlight its ecotourism potential by showcasing Subak, the traditional agricultural system in Bali; traditional weaving; Tamrau marine ecosystem in West Papua; Sawai village at the Manusela National Park in Maluku; and At-Tariq Islamic boarding school in Garut, West Java.
He stated that during the exhibition, Indonesia will be given the first opportunity to deliver a presentation on "Exploring the Survival Genius of Ethnic Cultural and Ethnical Shopping for Life in Indonesia."
