REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The National Awakening Party (PKB) as coalition party invites all supporters of Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo's to embrace Prabowo Subianto and Hatta Rajasa in next government system. There is no need in addressing the excessive euphoria over Constitutional Court's verdict, which rejected Prabowo's lawsuit.
According to PKB executive Abdul Kadir Karding, now it is time to build Indonesia together for people's welfare.
"Let's embrace the opponent. All supporters must invite Prabowo and Hatta together to build this nation," Karding said on Friday.
According to Hanura executive Saleh Husin, this victory belongs to all people of Indonesia. All parties are better preparing a step forward until the president and vice presidential inaguration on October 20. He is also grateful that this election run peacefully.
"This is a democratic process that we must go through. However, it is not the victory to anyone, other than all people of Indonesia," Husin said.
The elected vice president, Jusuf Kalla previously also asked all parties to re-unite. The Court has considered that the verdict was final and binding, so there would no other objection, which could change the election result.
