REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, KUPANG -- The vacationers, returning after celebrating Idul Fitri or Lebaran, have started to crowd Airmere, Ende, Alor, and Rote Ndao ports in East Nusa Tenggara to return to the provincial city of Kupang.
"In the run-up to the end of the Lebaran collective leave on Tuesday, those ports on Monday were packed with holidaymakers who would return to Kupang to commence their work on Wednesday," Kupang branch of state-owned inland waterway transportation service PT ASDP General Manager Arnold Jansen stated here on Monday.
According to Jansen, the ASDP management has anticipated an increase in passenger flow at the ports by increasing the number of ferries for travelers.
"We have anticipated an increase in the number of ferry passengers at the ports in Larantuka, Kalabahi, Ende, and Aimere, and so, we are making every effort to give them the best possible service," Jansen remarked.
