On a national scale, there has been an increase in the number of poskos. In the last 8 weeks, 1.166 new poskos have been set up, totalling to 19.682 poskos from the previous 18.516. Furthermore, upon inspecting the five Provinces that contribute to the highest number of cases, only DKI Jakarta has set up poskos in all the villages.

This accelerated increase has taken place in the last week, equivalent to a 38,58 percent increase, which means that DKI Jakarta has successfully reached 100 percent in developing poskos.

The Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) is the second province with the largest share of poskos, at 89,61 percent, however development has stagnated in the last 8 weeks, with the average addition not surpassing 1 percent, despite the fact that DIY can accelerate posko development by 10,49 percent in the villages that have yet to do so.

West Java, Central Java and East Java are provinces with a lower share of Poskos, with less than 60 percent of villages having formed these posts. The weekly development rate has also not surpassed 1 percent in the last 8 weeks, which means that at least 50 until 60 percent villages in these provinces have not developed poskos.

This slow development can no longer be tolerated, given that the pandemic requires speedy efforts, and these poskos are the infrastructure that is needed to ensure that PPKM Micro runs effectively. It must be noted that disaster management efforts such as this pandemic is a race against time, the faster and accurate the management, the faster the situation is under control.

“I urge all provinces to actively build poskos in villages that do not have them to ensure that PPKM Micro can run effectively,” stated Wiku.
