JAKARTA -- Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) recorded brilliant performance by receiving appreciation from various parties. This form of appreciation ranges from awards, recognition, to rankings from prestigious and credible institutions, both at national and international levels.
At 128 years old, throughout 2023, at least more than 200 awards were given to BRI. Of this number, 53 of them are international awards.
Some of these awards and achievements are as follows:
1. Forbes Global 2000 named BRI as the World's Largest Company in Indonesia, ranked #1 in Indonesia and ranked #307 in the world, up from ranking #349 last year.
2. Euromoney named BRI as Market Leader in Indonesia and Best Service in Asia Pacific.
3. Asia Money crowned BRI as Best Domestic Bank in Indonesia, Best Domestic Private Bank in Indonesia, and Market Leader Trade Finance (Asian Banks) in Indonesia
4. Finance Asia awarded 9 Awards to BRI, some of which are: Best Financial Company (Gold), Best Corporate ESG Strategy (Gold), Best Overall Company (Gold), and including Best CEO for the President Director of BRI
5. The Asset Triple A named BRI as Best Issuer for Sustainable Finance, Best Sustainability-Linked Loan, Best Private Bank for High Net Worth Individual in Indonesia
6. Global Finance named BRI the Best Bank in Indonesia.
7. Brand Finance awarded BRI the title "The Most Valuable Brand in Indonesia" (rank 1 in Indonesia).
BRI President Director Sunarso said that BRI Group's brilliant performance received a lot of appreciation and appreciation from various parties. This assessment also shows BRI's courage to be assessed by various independent, bona fide and credible external parties.
Sunarso added that the various awards are dedicated to BRILiaN people who have made their best contribution to BRI and to Indonesia. This award is also presented to all BRI MSME customers who are the backbone of the Indonesian economy.
Until the third quarter of 2023, consolidated BRI assets increased 9.93 percent year on year (yoy) to IDR 1,851.97 trillion. This asset growth was also accompanied by profit in the 9 months which reached IDR 44.21 trillion or grew 12.47 percent yoy.
The main contributors to supporting BRI's positive performance include credit disbursement which grew double digits, the collection of Third Party Funds (DPK) and cheap funds which also grew double digits, maintained credit quality, and the proportion of fee-based income whose share continues to increase in the overall BRI income
