REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, INN DRAMAYU--- Thousands of people from different circles accompanied the funeral of the charismatic cleric who is also the Head of Pondok Pesantren Candangpinggan, Indramayu Regency, Prof. Dr. KH Abdul Syakur Yasin MA, Wednesday (17/1/2024) around 10:00 pm.
The cleric known as Buya Syakur breathed his last breath on this day around 1:30pm, at Mitra Plumbon Widasari Indramayu Hospital. Mourners consisting of santri, clerics, officials, politicians, police, military and citizens appeared to follow the funeral prayers. As a result of the swarming of mourners, prayers for the remains were performed alternately.
The funeral prayer was led by the Chairman of MUI of Indramayu Regency, KH Moh Syatori. After prayers, around 10:00pm, Buya Syakur's body was taken to the family burial site behind the funeral home. Tahlil's sentence was also echoed in the funeral procession of the deceased.
“Throughout his life the deceased continued to fight in the path of Allah SWT. May the deceased be accepted at his side,” Syatori said.
