REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, MAKASSAR -- Golkar Party DPP General Chairman Airlangga Hartarto claims the electability of the number 2 presidential and vice presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka's electability above 60 percent in various regions.
“The present moment for Prabowo-Gibran's victory in various regions is already above 60 (percent),” Airlangga said when he was met after attending the South Sulawesi Provincial Golkar Party Consolidation Activity in Makassar on Thursday.
Therefore, Airlangga pushed for Prabowo-Gibran's electability to be in line with the support of votes for the Golkar Party in the 2024 general election.
“So, we have encouraged that Prabowo-Gibran's victory we encourage to be linear with the Golkar Party's vocal supporters,” he said.
He also pushed the Prabowo-Gibran pair's vote target in the upcoming presidential election to 80 percent.
“So, 80 percent of us are asking for Prabowo-Gibran to win,” Airlangga added.
Meanwhile, the results of the latest survey by Denny JA's Indonesian Survey Circle (LSI) showed that the electability of the number 2 candidate pair Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka reached 50.7 percent.
LSI Denny JA also posted the second most electability were Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar pair 22 percent and Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud Md. in third with 19.7 percent. Then an invalid vote of 0.7 per cent and a no answer of 6.9 per cent.
In that survey, there were 1,200 respondents who were surveyed through face-to-face interviews. LSI Denny JA calls the margin of error rate more or less 2.9 percent.
The General Election Commission (KPU) of RI has designated three participants in the 2024 presidential election, namely Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar number 1, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka number 2, and Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD sequence number 3.
The 2024 election campaign period runs from 28 November 2023 to 10 February 2024. After a period of campaigning, there was a period of calm on 11—13 February. Later, the voting schedule took place simultaneously on February 14, 2024.
