REPUBLIC .CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Gerindra Party General Chairman who is also the presidential candidate for the 2024 presidential election, Prabowo Subianto celebrates his party's 16th anniversary (anniversary) at his private residence, Jalan Kertanegara, South Jakarta, Tuesday (6/2/2024) night. Prabowo hopes that when Gerindra turns 16, Indonesia gets better.

“The best for the nation and the people,” Prabowo said when reporters asked what his hopes were for the Gerindra Party.

Prabowo said that the celebration at his private residence was held simply with a knife cut. Celebrations were also held in Bali on Tuesday morning.

Meanwhile, Gerindra Party Secretary General Ahmad Muzani said that Prabowo at this evening's celebration commemorated the early days of the party's founding in 2008. Prabowo, he said, conveyed that the Gerindra Party was “not one iota” able to be great.

“From the beginning and founding of the party, introducing and convincing the public about the name and purpose of this party standing is not easy, but step by step this party can gain great trust from the Indonesian people,” Muzani said after attending the celebration event at Prabowo's house.

The celebration was attended by a number of central administrators and members of the board of trustees of the Gerindra Party. Two of them were the Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Hashim Djojohadikusumo and the Deputy General Chairman, Habiburokhman.

Muzani said Prabowo deliberately did not invite the general chairman of his supporting political party to today's event. Prabowo also did not invite Gibran Rakabuming Raka. Because, Prabowo realizes that all parties and Gibran are busy ahead of the 2024 election day.

Therefore, he said, Prabowo asked all cadres across Indonesia to celebrate Gerindra's anniversary simply in their respective regions with the local people. The same directive was addressed to the candidates of Gerindra Party to create a celebration with the people in their respective constituencies (constituencies).

Muzani explained that the celebration event was held simply because it is now eight days before the 2024 election vote. “The most important thing for us is to win the 2024 presidential election and win the upcoming 2024 election,” he said.
