REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Deputy for Protocol, Press, and Media of the Secretariat of the President of the Ministry of State Secretariat (Setneg) Yusuf Permana said preparations for the commemoration ceremony seconds of the proclamation have so far gone well. Yusuf said the government continues to conduct weekly coordination meetings to check and evaluate the progress of preparations on the ground.

“The facilities and infrastructure in Istana Negara IKN and Istana Merdeka Jakarta have continued to be completed and refined so that they can be put to good use later,” when contacted by Republika in Jakarta, Thursday (8/8/2024).

Yusuf said RI's 79th Anniversary commemoration will be different because it will be held in two places, Istana IKN and Istana Jakarta. Yusuf ensured that the government strives to provide a sense of comfort and satisfaction for the guests present at Istana IKNand Jakarta.

“This event will be the  history of all Indonesians because we will commemorate the seconds of proclamation from two different places in IKN and in Jakarta,” Yusuf said.
