REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, KABUPATEN BANDUNG -- Minister of Agrarian and Space/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) Hadi Tjahjanto revealed the residents' lands that are certified protected by law.

“The mothers already have land certificates, proof of land rights, which means that the lands that the mothers own are protected by law,” Hadi said during the presentation of land certificates for the people at GOR Si Jalak Harupat, Bandung Regency, West Java, Saturday (3/2/2024).

According to Hadi, land certification is very important for the community in order to protect the lands belonging to citizens and not be invaded by irresponsible people.

“So at the moment what I'm conveying because the mothers already have the certificate finally (the land) is protected, so it won't be possible to be forfeited by anyone else,” he said.

On the occasion, Hadi also reminded people who have received land certificates to properly maintain the certificate. He added that since there is a case outside there, namely borrowing certificates, only borrowers lend. Then the certificate is taken to the cooperative or bank to be analyzed by others.

The easiest and most worrying thing is if the land certificate is issued to the lender because without having to follow the procedure.

“After that when the parents asked for (the land certificate) it turned out that it was already registered. In the end, it was the parents who had to pay the money. From such cases I would like to remind that the received land certificates are stored and properly maintained. It is a very valuable asset,” Hadi said.

ATR/BPN Minister Hadi Tjahjanto accompanied President Joko Widodo to submit land certificates at the Land Certificate Submission for People activity at Si Jalak Harupat Sports Arena (GOR), Bandung Regency, West Java Province, Saturday.

The certificates were handed directly to 3,000 recipients. The certificate awarded is the result of a complete systematic land registration (PTSL) program run by the Land Office (Kantah) of Bandung Regency in 2023.
